WHO WE ARE
Decatur Morgan County Tourism is a 501c6 Destination Management Organization contracted by the City of Decatur and Morgan County Commission to create a better community by sharing Decatur & Morgan County with the world. The organization is primarily funded through Hotel Lodging Tax paid by visitors while staying in overnight in hotels.
MISSION STATEMENT
Decatur Morgan County Tourism is a nonprofit organization created exclusively to market Decatur and Morgan County to both groups and individuals, to enhance the economy and increase employment. D.M.C.T. serves as an economic driver, community marketer, industry coordinator, and builder of community pride.

Decatur Morgan County Tourism is governed by a
twelve member Board of Directors. The Board, serving without monetary compensation, sets the policies for the DMCT, while the President, a paid staff member, serves as administrative head. A full-time staff works under the President’s guidance to assist in accomplishing the DMCT’s goals. Decatur Morgan County Tourism employs seven people working in convention sales, tourism sales, convention services, partnerships and development, marketing, communications, events, and administration.
