Cheyenne Barran

Hello, I’m Cheyenne Barran! I’m currently serving a pivotal role at Lightwire Solutions doing Marketing and Administrative work with a passion for community engagement and building relationships.


I’ve been residing in Decatur, AL since 2008, alumnus of Decatur High School. As a dedicated Commodore for the Decatur Morgan Chamber of Commerce, I strive to foster connections, promote economic growth, and advocate for local businesses. With an interest in networking, I always try my best to excel in cultivating meaningful relationships while expanding Lightwire Solutions' sphere of influence within Decatur and surrounding areas.


In addition to professional endeavors, I am a passionate participant in community events and initiatives, leveraging my expertise to contribute positively to the local landscape. Balancing career aspirations with personal commitments, I find fulfillment in raising two beautiful daughters while actively pursuing professional growth and community enrichment.



With a proven track record of leadership, dedication, and a commitment to excellence, I persevere to be a driving force in both the professional arena and the vibrant community of Decatur, AL.




Chelsea Webster

Hi everyone! My name is Chelsea Webster. I was born and raised in North Alabama. My husband and I have two small children and two dogs. I’m currently a stay at home mom. I previously worked as a DoD program manager. I received my Bachelors degree in Environmental Sciences from The University of Tennessee and my Masters degree in Interactive Technology from The University of Alabama. 


In my free time, I love being outdoors. I enjoy fishing, kayaking, hiking, soccer, cooking and playing outside with my kiddos. I also love photography and creating social media content. We love getting out and exploring North Alabama. Morgan County has so much to offer. My goal is to encourage others to get out and enjoy all the wonderful activities this area has to offer!


Devan Rigoni

Devan Rigoni was raised in Decatur and is a graduate of Decatur High School and the University of Alabama. Devan and her husband Micah have resided in different areas of Morgan County since 2015. In 2019 they moved to 40 acres of land in Hartselle and have since welcomed their two children, Honey and Freddy. Their hidden acreage hosts 4 generations of their family and a few farm animals. In 2021 she founded @hey_hartselle, a page that promotes the history, hospitality, and overall positive news she curates from that community. She frequents much of Morgan County daily as she and her kids explore all the area has to offer.

I have loved and lived in Morgan County for almost my entire life and I’m always discovering new ways to appreciate it as I reach each different life phase. I believe what we all love about living here translates into why it should be a must visit stop on any travelers list.”


Hillary Borden

Hillary Borden is a mama, realtor, secretary at Cornerstone Christian School, and a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. Hillary has lived in Decatur since 2016 with her husband, 13 year old son, August, and 7 year old daughter, Cora. They are always out and about enjoying the Tennessee Valley area whether it be kayaking, hiking, or volunteering in the local community. They love living in Decatur and they know you will too! 

Jennifer Amoroso

Jennifer Amoroso is a native of Detroit and moved to Alabama in 2007. 
Her greatest passion is honoring and supporting our military Veterans.  She volunteers with Honoring Veteran Legacies. Their goal is to honor senior veterans and to guard and preserve their legacies.  They strive to enable them to participate in community events, grant wishes and honor them for their contributions. Jennifer wants to make sure that each and every veteran knows that they are valued, loved and how thankful we are for their sacrifices.

She also serves as a Board member and Photographer for the Southeastern Diversity Project and also a Board member of the Emergency Food & Shelter Program for Morgan County. 

In her free time, Jennifer loves traveling, hiking, kayaking, biking, attending concerts, cooking, photography, and most of all spending time with her children. 


Jonte Swoope

Jonte is a commercial editorial, lifestyle, fashion, and concert photographer based in Nashville, Tennessee, and Northern Alabama (Decatur, Huntsville, Athens). He offers images for artists, couples, seniors, and families, as well as live events. With a photojournalistic approach, he is able to capture the personality of his subjects through their beauty. He has always lived by the saying: Capturing life… as it happens.

Jonte experienced photographing events such as sports, student life, special events, and productions for Calvary Assembly Epicenter and Austin High School in Decatur, AL. He earned a bachelor's degree from Nossi College of Art in Commercial Digital Photography. While at Nossi, he had the opportunity to learn how to work in the studio, communicate with models, and have post-editing skills. Jonte has created J. Swoope Photography as his business upon graduation.

 


James Stoler

James Stoler moved to Decatur in 1969 from Ohio. He graduated in 1979 from Austin High School and worked at Champion/International Papers for 27 years. Bass fishing has been his hobby since he was a kid on the Tennessee River. He has a beautiful wife Debbie and they have 2 children. Weston and Bethany. Both of their children are also graduates of Austin High. They love to praise God at Decatur Baptist church. 

Keilee Terry

Keilee is a small business owner, Content Creator, Assistant Children’s Director at The Church At Stone River and the Social Media Manager for Decatur Morgan County Tourism.


As a life long Decatur resident she loves this city and serving her community! She has served on Decatur’s Steering Committee, One Decatur, volunteered with local organizations for over a decade, been a Downtown Decatur Tour Guide for 2 years, and has been a Visit Decatur AL ambassador since 2019! She loves Decatur’s rich history, diversity and appreciation for the arts!



Laken Dickson

Hi everyone!!

My name is Laken Dickson

I’m currently the FBO Manager at Pryor Field Regional Airport. I have been with our company now for 3 years. Before my career in aviation, I pursued a career in the medical field. I was a certified clinical medical assistant for 3 years and worked on the ambulance for about 3-4 years as an EMT-B. 

 

In my free time, I love to be outdoors as much as I can be. My favorite hobbies are skating, hiking, fishing, kayaking and sight-seeing.

I am super excited to be an ambassador for Decatur Morgan County Tourism. I have resided in Decatur for about 2 years now and love to explore here. So many little hidden gems everywhere... take you some time to look around, I think you’ll agree too. 😊



 Huckleberry


Huckleberry is a red-bi mini Australian Shepherd.

Huckleberry is the unofficial Decatur Farmers Market Greeter, pup cup connoisseur, ball chaser extraordinaire and festival enthusiast!


As a life long Decatur resident he loves his community! He loves visiting all of Decatur‘s parks and trails, attending festivals and visiting dog friendly shops! His favorite Decatur adventure was Alabama Jubilee! He is so excited to be a visit Decatur AL ambassador this year to show all of the doggone awesome places of Decatur!


Taylor Jones

Taylor is from Birmingham, Al and is a graduate of UAB business school with honors. He grew up playing golf eventually leading him to turn professional but has recently regained his Amateur status. His ventures in Decatur began 7 years ago and have led him to being the Co Owner of BB Perrins Sports Grille, A commercial and Residential Roof Inspector with Alliance Roofing and Restoration and an Entrepreneur revitalizing the historic 1903 Lyons Building on our Beautiful Bank Street. Taylor absolutely loves Decatur living in the Gorgeous Albany and Old Decatur Districts. He enjoys the many amenities and attractions this River City has to offer such as Boating, Point Mallard Golf and Trails, the history of our area, the wonderful community of friendly citizens, friends and Burningtree Country Club. He loves the small town feel that Decatur provides while also offering close proximity to other awesome cities in Sweet Home Alabama.

A VisitDecaturAL Ambassador is someone who represents Morgan County well through their photos on social media. It's someone who explores, seeks adventure, captures the beauty of north Alabama, and shares it with the rest of us. It's someone who ultimately makes us want to go out and explore for ourselves. We’re looking for a team of about 20 people to be our VisitDecaturAL Ambassadors. We want to feature your amazing talent, so we’re looking for people who are exploring, photographing, and posting about north Alabama’s outdoors, attractions, festivals, and food. Our goal for the VisitDecaturAL Ambassador program is to find people who are passionate about the north Alabama region and are posting their adventures on social media or on a blog. We want to highlight your amazing talent to further promote our city and county




As a VisitDecaturAL Ambassador, you’ll receive:

- Decatur/Morgan County swag (t-shirt, cap, etc.)

-Featured on our website landing page for VisitDecaturAL Ambassadors.

This program is an extension of our existing initiative that celebrates the diversity and vibrancy of Decatur, Alabama, through the lenses of our talented photographers, influencers, and content creators.
