At Decatur Morgan County Tourism, we believe the best way to share a destination is to experience it and then tell the story in your own voice.



Our Ambassador Program is designed for content creators, storytellers and experience seekers who want to explore Decatur and Morgan County and bring their audience along for the journey.

You don’t have to live here to apply. You just need to love discovering places, trying new things and sharing authentic moments.

  • What does an Ambassador Do?

    As an Ambassador, you’ll have opportunities to:

    • Participate in curated local experiences

    • Attend events, festivals and special activities 

    • Explore restaurants, shops, outdoor spaces and attractions

    • Share your genuine perspective with your audience

    • Help showcase what makes Decatur and Morgan County worth visiting

    This is a collaborative partnership built on creativity, connection and community impact.

    All accepted ambassadors will be added to a private Facebook Group exclusively for the program. This will be our main communication hub.

    Inside the group, we will post various experiences and collaboration opportunities throughout the year. These may include:

    • Festivals and events

    • Restaurant features

    • Outdoor adventures

    • Shopping spotlights

    • Seasonal campaigns

    • Special activities and community experiences

    Opportunities are offered on a first come, first serve basis, depending on availability and fit.

    When an opportunity is posted, it will include:

    • A description of the experience

    • The date(s) involved

    • Specific deliverables required (ex: static post, reel, TikTok, blog feature, stories, etc.)

    • Required platforms for posting

    • Accounts to tag

    • Hashtags to use (if applicable)

    • The deadline for posting

The #VisitDecaturAL Junior Ambassador Program is a unique platform that empowers local high school students to become ambassadors for our community through their creative skills. This program is an extension of our existing initiative that celebrates the diversity and vibrancy of Decatur, Alabama, through the lenses of our talented photographers, influencers, and content creators.
