From relaxing on the lazy river at Point Mallard to catching live entertainment downtown, there are plenty of ways to make memories in Decatur this weekend.


Thursday, June 11

Kick off the weekend with a variety of unique experiences around town.

  • Create your own custom accessory at the Build a Bandana Bar at Indigo's Boutique (10 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
  • Explore science in a whole new way during a Virtual Reality Dissection at the Cook Museum of Natural Science (10 a.m. – 12 p.m.)
  • Enjoy cigars and whiskey at The Little Cigar Shoppe throughout the day. (12pm- 10pm)
  • Join a friendly Community Chess Play gathering at Fort Decatur Recreation Center (6 p.m. – 7 p.m.)
  • Listen to local talent during the Singer Songwriter Series at the Historic Princess Theatre (7 p.m. – 9 p.m.)
  • Enjoy live music from L2K at Bank Street Grill. (6pm - 9pm)
  • Test your luck at Singo Bingo at Crossed Eyed Owl Brewery. (Starts at 6pm)
  • Wrap up the evening with Open Mic Night at The Game or Karaoke at Moe's BBQ Downtown. (Starts at 8:30 pm)
  • Enjoy live music at Josie's Liam Lonnergan (8pm-11:00 pm)


Friday, June 12

Friday is all about exploring Decatur's attractions and enjoying a night out.

  • Tee off at the newly renovated Point Mallard Golf Course. (7am- 6pm)
  • Spend the day exploring the colorful MoCo Mural Trail throughout Decatur. (All-Day)
  • Cool off at Point Mallard Water Park featuring the lazy river, wave pool, and water slides. (10 am - 6 pm)
  • Live Music, Street Games, Vendor, Jeep Club & More at 2nd on Second in Downtown Decatur (5:30-9:00 pm)
  • Bring the family to Piper & Leaf Tea HQ for Family Fun Night with free hot dogs while supplies last. (7 pm - 9 pm)
  • Enjoy live music from Mikhailo Bernal at Bank Street Grill. (6pm - 9pm)
  • Catch Jake Man performing live at The Brick Deli. (6pm- 9pm)
  • For Local Youth, join in on the Decatur Youth Services Summer Kick Off at the Aquadome (Starts at 7:00 pm)
  • End the night with live music from In Other News at Moe's BBQ Downtown Decatur. (8:30 pm - 11:30 pm)
  • Have a delicious meal at Simp McGhee's and listen to live music by Mike Roberts. (6:00-9:00 pm)
  • Enjoy Dylan John at Josie's (9:00-12:00 pm)


Saturday, June 13

  • Visit the Decatur Morgan County Farmers Market and enjoy live music from Jesse Moffitt (9 a.m. to 11 a.m)
  • Spend another day making a splash at Point Mallard Water Park. (10 am - 6 pm)
  • Enjoy Dance Vibes Happy Hour (11am - 9pm) and live music from Duane Walker at Bank Street Grill ( Live Music 6pm - 9pm)
  • Head over to Veterans Park in Priceville for Music in the Park – Jeep Jam. (6:30 - 8:30pm)
  • Experience country music artist Shelly Fairchild live at the Historic Princess Theatre. (7pm - 10pm)
  • Finish the evening with live music from Liam Lonergan at Moe's BBQ Downtown Decatur. (8:30 pm - 11:30 pm)
  • Have a good time SLIP @ Josie's at (9:00 PM-12 pm)
  • Have a blast at Highway 67 Roadhouse Live Dusty French (8 PM-12:00 pm)


Sunday, June 14th

  • Live music at Josie's Shaun Ferguson (4:00 pm-7:00 pm)
