Rock the South Finds a New Home in Decatur, Alabama!

Emma Martin • October 3, 2025

Big news for country music fans: Rock the South, one of the South’s most beloved music festivals, is making a major move. Beginning in 2026, the three-day summer tradition will take place at its brand-new, permanent home—The Fields at Decatur—from June 11–13, 2026.

For more than 14 years, Rock the South has grown into a can’t-miss event, drawing fans from across the region to celebrate music, community, and Southern culture. Now, with its move to Decatur (just south of Huntsville and an hour from Birmingham), the festival is stepping into a bold new chapter.

This relocation marks the first time Peachtree Entertainment—the team behind Rock the South—will fully own its festival grounds. That means long-term investments to enhance comfort, convenience, and fan experiences for years to come.

The new site promises:

  • 150+ acres of usable space for easy flow and bigger crowds.
  • Expanded campgrounds with engineered drainage, designed to keep the fun going rain or shine.
  • More shade and cooling zones to beat the Alabama heat.
  • A reimagined VIP area plus new fan hangout spaces.
  • A second stage presented by Raised Rowdy, doubling the music and energy.

Nathan Baugh, CEO of Peachtree Entertainment, summed it up: “Rock the South has always been about more than music; it’s about tradition, community, and celebrating the South at its best. The Fields at Decatur gives us the space to do it right—and to make even bigger moments than ever before.”

Although the festival will now call Decatur home, organizers are quick to note that its Cullman roots remain a proud part of the story. Charitable partnerships will continue in both communities, ensuring that the festival’s growth benefits the region as a whole.

Co-founder Shane Quick explained: “Moving to Decatur is not about leaving those roots behind, it’s about building on them. The Fields at Decatur gives us the flexibility and future we’ve always dreamed of, and I couldn’t be more excited to share this next chapter with our fans.”

Local leaders are celebrating the announcement, recognizing both the cultural and economic impact the festival will bring.

Decatur Mayor-Elect Kent Lawrence shared: “I am so excited that Rock the South is coming to Decatur! This premier country music festival will be an event our citizens can truly enjoy, while also attracting visitors from across the country to experience all that our great city has to offer.” Kyle Demeester, CFO for the City of Decatur, added: “Hosting The Biggest Party in the South at The Fields at Decatur not only brings an incredible experience to our community and region but also showcases the potential of this property as a premier destination for future growth and development.”

What’s Next

Fans don’t have to wait long to get in on the action. An exclusive rendering video of The Fields at Decatur is available now at RockTheSouth.com. Early ticket access is open, with presale registration guaranteeing the lowest prices before the public sale. The full lineup will be announced soon.

So mark your calendars: June 11–13, 2026. Decatur, Alabama, is officially the new home of Rock the South—and the start of an even bigger Southern tradition.
