You've heard of Third Friday, but have you heard of this brand-new downtown Decatur social gathering? Here's a list of the things that Second on 2nd offers!

The city of Decatur is full of nightlife, and this new event only enhances the opportunities for a night out with your closest friends! We are excited to announce that on the second Friday of each month from May-October, 2nd on Second will take place on 2nd Avenue from 5:30 PM – 9 PM! Ready to plan your night? Here are the best ways to have some fun!

1.    Eat some good food!

With almost a dozen food vendors on second avenue, as well as signature Decatur restaurants including The Brick, Mellow Mushroom, Moe’s BBQ, and Josie’s, there will be something good to eat for everyone, no matter what you are tasting!

2.    Get some drinks!

Happy hour just got way better with drink specials available from many different restaurants and vendors!

3.    Play some games!

Want to compete against your friends? You’ll get the opportunity to show off your skills in games like cornhole, giant Jenga, and a potato toss! Prizes WILL be available for the winners! This could be you!

4.    View some art!

Are you an artsy person? If so, we have some good news! Art galleries will be present at the event, so make sure you stop by and view some amazing works by local artists! You will not be disappointed!

5.    Listen to some good music!

Do you want to chill out and listen to some good, low-tune music? There will be live music playing all night, even after the main event! Catch some extra music at The Brick Deli from 7:30 to midnight, as well as Moe’s BBQ starting at 8:30, and at Josie’s Downtown from 9-12!
